The mission of St.Benedict’s Monastery, Asirvanam, is to create jobs for the locals and provide good education for them. With the aim of providing free education to the poor children in the neighboring villages the monastery opened St. Benedict’s Kannada Lower Primary School in the year 1996. Children from the neighboring villages started coming to school.
The school was giving free primary education till 4th standard and constructed a new building with a playground in the year 2000.St.Benedict’s School has the best atmosphere for the healthy development of a child. No other school nearby could boast of such an atmosphere. In 1997 Br.MARTIN was appointed as the administrator of the school. Under his leadership the school acquired its own character. He worked relentlessly to get the necessary registration work and approvals from the Education Department and legally secured the status of the school.

St.Benedict’s High School started its journey in the year 1996 with an aim of providing quality education to the boys and girls of this area (12 villages). This school (state) is equipped with every facility. We aspire to empower all students to succeed in their world by offering a wide variety of challenging, enjoyable and successful curricular opportunities, sports programmes, performing art programmes along with life skill based activities.
We are serving here true to our potential to transform the young ones into a potential source of knowledge, energy and strength. Teamwork is the hallmark of St.Benedict’s School. a committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a child’s centric school.
